Controller
The Taney County Health Department is a thriving Local Public Health Department located in Branson and Forsyth Missouri. TCHD is committed to the community and to its employees. The Taney County Health Department will be accepting resumes for a full time, 40 hours a week, exempt Controller. Duties include: management of daily fiscal operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliation, policies and procedure. Other duties include budget development and monitoring, oversight of medical billing, leads annual audit, and grant reporting.
Minimum requirements: Requirements for this position include graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in accounting. In lieu of a degree, 5 or more years of governmental accounting experience would be considered. A CPA is preferred, however not required. At least 5 years’ experience in accounting and 2 years of experience in management or supervisory role. Experience in governmental accounting practices is preferred, however not required.
TCHD provides a comprehensive benefits package which includes paid vacation (80 hours), holidays (10 Holiday and 3 Floating Holidays), and sick time (96 hours); LAGERS Retirement system (currently contributing 18 %) and 100% Paid Health Insurance for the employee.

Custodial/Maintenance Worker

The Taney County Health Department seeks a full time, 40 hours per week, non-exempt, Custodian/Maintenance worker. Responsibilities include general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, and other building systems. Performs custodial maintenance duties, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning and restocking restrooms.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Previous experience is a plus, however not required. Strong communicator, knowledge of general carpentry and repair, follow safety procedures, organized and multitasker needed. Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
The ideal applicant would need to be a team player, make our values a top priority, be able to self-start projects, work independently with minimal guidance, have excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Bilingual Spanish/English Interpreter
The Taney County Health Department will be accepting resumes for a full time, 40 hours a week, non-exempt Spanish-English Bilingual Interpreter. Duties include support for language and cultural translation across the department including written and verbal translation, assists in outreach with the Spanish Speaking community, and acts as bilingual liaison for the Health Department in the community.
Minimum requirements: Requirements for this position include being fluent in written and spoken Spanish. Preferred bachelor’s degree in Spanish, communications, health education, or a health-related field however not required. Previous experience of two or more years’ in interpreter services preferred however not required.

The Taney County Health Department seeks a part time, 32 hours per week, non-exempt Public Health Nurse. Responsibilities include communicable disease investigation and response, family planning, vaccinations, pregnancy testing, lead testing, and other public health program responsibilities as assigned.
Applicants must possess a current RN license in the State of Missouri is required. A BSN in Nursing and one (1) year of work experience in nursing or a closely related field is preferred however not required. The ideal applicant would need to be a team player, make our values a top priority, and have excellent customer service skills.
