Community Outreach
The community is at the core of everything we do at the Taney County Health Department, that’s why we have an entire team dedicated to working outside the office doors with community partners. Our Community Outreach Team works to bring education, programs, grants, support, and other resources to all who live, work, and play in Taney County. See below for information on where you might find us.
- Health Education – Our knowledgeable Health Educators are available to meet the health education needs of your organization. We speak on a wide variety of topics and are happy to tailor a presentation to the needs of your group. Call us at (417) 334-4544 ext 225 to schedule your health education presentation.
- Coalition and Taskforce Work – We partner with a number of coalitions, task forces, and work groups to help move projects forward for the better of our community. Call us at (417) 334-4544 to learn more about the groups we work with.
- Reportable Illnesses – Some diseases are a concern to public safety because of their contagiousness, severity, or frequency. These illnesses are taken very seriously and are required to be reported to your local public health agency by a health care provider. TCHD investigates, educates, and in some instances, treats these illnesses to keep the community healthy and safe.
